Senior Technical Accountant

The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to provide deep technical expertise and execution across complex accounting areas in a high-growth SaaS environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, this is a high-impact individual contributor role that enables finance leadership to operate strategically by owning critical accounting functions, supporting audit readiness, and strengthening financial infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll work across technical accounting, consolidations, audit support, and internal controls, while helping modernize accounting processes through automation and AI-enabled solutions. You’ll partner closely with the Controller and cross-functional leaders to ensure the business is positioned for scale, increased complexity, and potential public company readiness.
Location: This is a hybrid role based in Lincoln, NE. Candidates are expected to work from our Lincoln office three days per week, with flexibility to work remotely on the remaining days.
What You'll Do
- Research and document complex U.S. GAAP topics including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases, stock-based compensation, and other technical accounting areas
- Prepare clear, audit-ready technical accounting memos and recommendations for leadership review
- Evaluate accounting implications of new contracts, products, and strategic initiatives
- Support and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
- Own multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency accounting
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules
- Serve as a primary liaison for external auditors, managing audit requests and supporting documentation
- Draft financial statement disclosures and proactively identify and resolve audit risks
- Design, document, and support internal controls aligned with SOX and public company readiness initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve close processes, reporting, and overall accounting efficiency
- Lead implementation of automation and AI-driven tools to improve accounting workflows and reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and Operations to support business initiatives and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Support ERP optimization and system enhancements, particularly within NetSuite

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and active CPA license
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 830
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations and foreign currency accounting
- Proven experience supporting external audits in a complex environment
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to clearly document accounting positions
- Ability to work independently while partnering closely with senior finance leadership

Benefits & Compensation
This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is $103,000-$117,000 per year and is based on experience. We also offer meaningful equity and other benefits.
