Requirements: We’re currently accepting applications from those living in Indiana. We’re also considering applicants in neighboring states who live within driving distance of Indianapolis. This is a fully remote position that requires day travel to Indianapolis quarterly, or more as needed. Candidates must have a valid, current driver’s license, the ability to drive a motor vehicle, and access to a vehicle to use as needed for business travel. Mileage and meals are reimbursed by OpenEd Foundation, Inc.
About the Role
OpenEd Foundation is seeking a Program Manager for its Indiana virtual private school. This role will have ultimate responsibility for the implementation, management, and ongoing compliance of all data reporting and records management for OpenEd Foundation’s K-12 virtual private school in Indiana. Preference for candidates with previous experience using Indiana school data reporting systems as a registrar or data leader. The Program Manager will be a trusted representative of the school, communicating directly with IDOE personnel, maintaining direct responsibility for Choice Scholarship accountability, and ensuring school reporting deliverables are compliant with state requirements.
Your Immediate Impact
OpenEd Foundation operates OpenEd Academy of Indiana, a K-12 virtual private school serving students across the state. This role ensures continuity and excellence in the services required to run the school. Your impact is on the hundreds of students enrolled in OpenEd Academy of Indiana as we work to open education for every learner. Our school serves students who value flexibility, choice, and personalization in their learning. Our school also serves families who have chosen to leave public education in search of options that provide the personalized education their children deserve. We are proud of our commitment to build the education every student needs.
Success Metrics: Successful completion of monthly deliverables to the state of Indiana for reporting with 100% fidelity each month. Creation of efficient, streamlined, and accurate data management structures to maintain and report all dimensions of requirement compliance activities.
Who You Are: Preferably, you have previous experience owning or directly contributing to school state reporting in Indiana Choice Scholarship private schools, using IDOE templates for data reporting, and navigating IDOE Knowledge Hub. Candidates without prior direct experience will have transferable skills and a drive to quickly scale their IDOE-specific process knowledge to become our internal Subject Matter Expert on Indiana school reporting requirements. You are an organized, capable, approachable team player, equally comfortable navigating data analysis and compliance-related meetings.

Reporting Line: This position will report directly to OpenEd Foundation CEO, Teresa King.

Compensation: $65,000 - 80,000 OTE
