Role

The main mission is to ensure that the team provides services with the highest quality and guarantees continuity as prescribed in the client contract, with a particular focus on SAP Payroll, including Italian Payroll processes.  

Responsible for ensuring the proper delivery of services and maintaining and developing relationships between the business unit and internal and external stakeholders at all times. Also accountable for people management within their department.  

A manager must adhere to and uphold the company’s objectives, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring these are followed within their team. They are also responsible for communicating all relevant business and company information to their employees.  

The person will also be responsible for coaching and supervising team members in the performance of their tasks, particularly in relation to SAP Payroll and country-specific (Italian) requirements.

Tasks

In addition to the tasks common to all STRADA employees, the specific tasks for this position are:

  • Understand, manage, and control the budget
  • Ensure that the service meets STRADA’s quality standards, particularly in SAP Payroll delivery (including Italian Payroll)
  • Detect business opportunities in both new and existing customers, especially related to Payroll and SAP solutions
  • Ensure that the service is provided in accordance with contractual provisions
  • Create, develop, implement, and maintain work processes and communication between team members and third parties
  • Monitor and enforce processes; collect metrics for measuring quality and productivity in the department
  • Establish regular service review meetings
  • Provide skilled resources and ensure their availability according to committed FTE levels
  • Motivate, evaluate, and manage team members
  • Define team structure and assign responsibilities, ensuring adequate SAP Payroll expertise (Italian Payroll knowledge is a plus/required)
  • Encourage and lead the training and development of the team, particularly in SAP Payroll and localization topics
  • Ensure a positive and engaging team environment
  • Define objectives for team members and monitor performance
  • Manage administrative tasks (timesheets, holidays, absences, overtime, costs)
  • Plan succession within the business
  • Drive business development and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills Required

  • Strong experience in SAP HCM Payroll, with specific knowledge of Italian Payroll
  • Proven experience in managing Payroll services in a multi-country environment is a plus
