Chief Commercial Banking Officer (CCBO) is responsible for leading the bank's commercial banking business, focusing on SME and mid-market client segments. This role drives revenue growth, portfolio expansion, and client relationship excellence while ensuring disciplined credit risk management and regulatory compliance.

The CCBO plays a pivotal role in balancing business growth with asset quality, delivering sustainable profitability, and strengthening the bank's market position in the commercial segment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Commercial Banking Strategy & P&L Ownership Define and execute commercial banking strategy aligned with enterprise objectives Own full P&L for SME and mid-market segments Drive revenue growth across lending, deposits, and fee-based income Identify target sectors and growth opportunities
  2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management Lead acquisition of SME and mid-market clients Strengthen relationships with key commercial clients Oversee relationship management teams and business bankers Enhance client retention and lifetime value
  3. Lending & Credit Oversight Oversee commercial lending (working capital, term loans, trade finance) Ensure strong underwriting standards and disciplined credit practices Approve large/complex deals within delegated authority Balance growth with prudent risk management
  4. Portfolio & Risk Management Monitor portfolio performance, asset quality, and concentration risks Manage non-performing loans (NPL/NPA) and recovery strategies Align portfolio growth with defined risk appetite Identify early warning signals and mitigate risk exposure
  5. Product & Segment Development Develop tailored financial solutions for SME and commercial clients Expand trade finance, cash management, and sector-specific offerings Improve competitiveness and product penetration Collaborate with product and treasury teams
  6. Sales & Distribution Leadership Drive sales strategy and execution across commercial segments Set targets and KPIs for relationship teams Improve productivity and conversion rates Expand distribution channels and partnerships
  7. Digital Transformation & Process Efficiency Lead digital initiatives in commercial banking (e.g., digital onboarding, loan processing) Improve turnaround time and operational efficiency Implement automation and workflow optimization Collaborate with fintech and technology partners
  8. Regulatory Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to central bank regulations and internal policies Maintain strong governance, audit readiness, and compliance standards Support regulatory inspections and reporting requirements Promote ethical banking practices
  9.
