Pearce is rapidly expanding and hiring Generator Technicians to support critical telecom infrastructure across multiple states in the Midwest and Northeast.
In this role, you’ll service and maintain commercial generators that power cell towers and mission-critical communication systems. This is a field-based position ideal for technicians who enjoy working independently, solving technical problems, and traveling to different sites.

What You Will Do
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial generators at telecom sites
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues and complete repairs efficiently
Install and replace generator components, wiring, controls, pumps, and related equipment
Conduct performance testing and inspections to ensure system readiness and reliability
Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and service documentation
Respond to generator alarms and service calls as needed, including occasional on-call assignments
Travel to job sites throughout your assigned region
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines while working in the field
Who You Are
2+ years of generator, diesel, electrical, or mechanical maintenance experience
Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems
Comfortable working independently in field environments
Willing and able to travel regularly within your region
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical
Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Preferred:
Telecom, generator, diesel, or industrial equipment experience
Familiarity with FCC, FAA, EPA, or OSHA standards
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is a field-based role working at telecom and infrastructure sites.
You must be able to:
Lift 50+ pounds
Stand, climb, kneel, and work outdoors
Travel regularly, including overnight travel when required
Work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations
