This is the most critical senior hire at our client right now. The VP of Operations & Growth owns the engine of the business: growing Gross Payment Volume (GPV) profitably while keeping merchants delighted and risk under control.

You will lead both the commercial organization — Vertical Leads and Growth Associates — and the operational core of the payments business, including merchant performance, fraud & risk, FinOps, and execution excellence. This is not a management role; it's a builder role.

What You'll Own

Growth & Revenue

•       Drive GPV growth through new sales, expansion, and cross-sell across verticals

•       Own Net Revenue Retention, pipeline coverage, and conversion rates (MQL → SQL → Closed Won)

•       Lead and develop a team of Vertical Leads and Growth Associates

Merchant Performance

•       Maintain best-in-class Acceptance Rate, Authorization Rate, and Payment Success Rate

•       Own merchant NPS/CSAT, churn, and time-to-go-live

•       Ensure issues are resolved fast — Time to Resolution is a KPI, not a footnote

Risk & Fraud

•       Balance approval rate optimization against chargeback and fraud rate control

•       Minimize false positives, manual review rates, and dispute resolution time

•       Build the systems and judgment to grow fast without blowing up risk

FinOps & Unit Economics

•       Own contribution margin, take rate, cost per transaction, and gross margin by vertical

•       Identify and close revenue leakage — growth must be profitable, not just fast

Operational Excellence & Team Leadership

•       Drive SLA compliance, automation rates, and operational efficiency across the org

•       Build leaders: set clear OKRs for your Vertical Leads and hold them accountable

•       Be a talent multiplier — hire well, develop fast, measure impact

•       8+ years of experience in fintech, payments, or high-growth tech — ideally in Mexico or LATAM

•       Proven track record owning both commercial and operational outcomes at scale

•       Deep understanding of payments infrastructure: acquiring, issuing, fraud, and processing economics

•       Experience managing cross-functional teams with ownership of P&L or unit economics

•       Strong analytical rigor — you speak in GPV, take rate, chargeback BPS, and conversion %

•       Builder mentality: you thrive in complexity, move fast, and develop the people around you

•       Fluent in Spanish and English
