Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: Mondays - Fridays 9:00am - 5:00pm PST
Compensation: USD $2,000-2,500/month (Salary based on assessment)

About the Company:
Join our fast-growing Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) as a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 3). Lead a team of Level I & II engineers, manage advanced systems, troubleshoot complex networks, and drive innovative IT solutions. Enjoy a hybrid work model with occasional travel to client sites and data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Level I & II engineers.

  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot Proxmox, Ceph, and SAN solutions.

  • Oversee firewalls (SonicWALL, Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti) and network switches.

  • Manage cloud services, including Microsoft 365 and Azure.

  • Automate tasks using Python and PowerShell scripting.

  • Ensure robust backup strategies, Ceph cluster management, and data recovery processes.

  • Address escalated tickets and maintain SLA adherence.

  • Support client onboarding and IT audits.

  • Conduct periodic reviews to align IT strategies with client goals.

Qualifications
Required:

  • 3-5 years in a senior IT role.

  • Expertise in Proxmox, Ceph, and multi-domain environments.

  • Advanced skills in Active Directory, Python, PowerShell scripting, and SAN technology.

Preferred:

  • Certifications (e.g., MCSE, VMware, MS365 Azure).

  • Experience with Citrix XenApp, Nerdio, and Azure AVD.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

  • Proficiency with RMM tools, VOIP, and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
