Title: Senior Node.js Developer - AWS and PostgreSQL Experience: 5-7 Years

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Full-stack Development: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy efficient and maintainable software solutions using Node.js for backend development and modern front-end technologies.
  2. Database Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of PostgreSQL to design, develop, and optimize complex database structures, queries, and interactions to ensure high performance and reliability of our applications.
  3. Cloud Architecture: Architect, implement, and maintain cloud-based applications on AWS. Leverage your expertise in AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, and more to build scalable and resilient solutions.
  4. Serverless Paradigm: Design and develop serverless applications and microservices using AWS Lambda and API Gateway to ensure scalability and cost-efficiency.
  5. DevOps Integration: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar tools to automate deployment processes, enabling continuous integration and delivery.
  6. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in applications and databases. Utilize best practices for optimizing Node.js code, database queries, and overall system performance.
  7. Security and Compliance: Integrate security best practices into the development process. Implement authentication, authorization, data encryption, and other security measures to ensure the protection of sensitive data and compliance with industry standards.
  8. Team Collaboration: Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and innovative solutions.
  9. Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical challenges, propose solutions, and implement effective strategies to overcome obstacles and deliver high-quality software within deadlines.
  10. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and operational procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5-7 years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
  2. Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript, with experience in building RESTful APIs and backend services.
  3. Solid understanding of PostgreSQL database design, query optimization, and administration.
  4. Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
  5. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  6. Familiarity with serverless architecture and microservices.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  8. Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
