What you'll do

Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and engineering — owning how Imagine.Art manages AI infrastructure spend. You'll forecast costs, negotiate with vendors, find optimization opportunities, and give leadership visibility into technology expenses that directly impact unit economics.

What You'll Do

  • Forecast AI vendor spend monthly and quarterly, and tie it back to product usage.

  • Negotiate pricing, commitments, and renewals with our AI infrastructure providers.

  • Find cost savings — model routing, tier optimization, right-sized commitments — and work with Engineering to ship them.

  • Own vendor relationships end-to-end: QBRs, renewals, escalations.

  • Give Finance, Engineering, and the founders a clear view of where the money goes.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–6 years in FinOps, technology procurement, strategic sourcing, or a finance role with real vendor-spend ownership.

  • Technical understanding of AI model APIs — non-negotiable. You know what tokens, inference calls, and model tiers are. You can sit with Engineering, follow the conversation, and spot the cost lever they missed.

  • Real negotiation experience with technology vendors. You've read MSAs, pushed back on pricing, and structured commitments that saved money without locking the company in.

  • Strong modeling in Excel/Sheets. SQL or BI tool comfort is a plus.

  • Bias for action. We move fast and trust people to make calls.
