We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Data Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud-based data platforms, and modern data architecture, with a primary focus on Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines and workflows that support business intelligence, analytics, and data science initiatives. You will design and implement robust, secure, and high-performance data solutions using Azure-native tools and services.

You will build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, ensuring efficient data ingestion from multiple structured and unstructured data sources. You will work with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Blob Storage to manage large-scale datasets and ensure proper data organization and governance.

In this role, you will leverage Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure SQL Database to transform and model data for downstream consumption. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.

You will also ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and governance policies. Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability will be a critical part of your responsibilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling techniques
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python or PySpark
  • Familiarity with big data technologies and distributed data processing frameworks
  • Experience in building scalable data pipelines and handling large datasets
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure Databricks for advanced data processing and analytics
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices in Azure
  • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
