Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant with a background in investment deal sourcing to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a keen understanding of investment strategies, and the ability to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Conduct detailed financial analysis to support investment decisions.
Monitor financial performance of investment portfolios and prepare periodic reports.
Investment Deal Sourcing:
Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research and networking.
Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, including financial modeling, risk assessment, and return on investment analysis.
Develop and maintain relationships with investment banks, venture capitalists, private equity firms, and other sources of deal flow.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with investment activities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support investment activities.
Communicate financial insights and investment opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.
Prepare and present investment proposals and recommendations to the executive team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CFA designation preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on investment deal sourcing.
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
Knowledge of investment strategies, financial markets, and valuation techniques.
Proficient in accounting software and financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, etc.).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
