Description
Turion Space is building the infrastructure that will define how humanity operates in orbit from autonomous rendezvous and proximity operations to on-orbit servicing, assembly, and manufacturing. As we expand our classified program portfolio and deepen our partnerships with the U.S. Government, we are looking for a Facility Security Officer to own and operate our industrial security program from the ground up. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who understands that good security enables mission success rather than standing in its way. This position is onsite in Irvine, California.

Develop, maintain, and update company security policies in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), applicable DD254s, and contract-specific requirements
Maintain Turion's facility clearance status in NISS and manage all required DCSA documentation including KMP submissions, self-inspections, and SEAD 3 reporting
Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, and support DCSA and customer security assessments
Manage physical security across multiple local facilities in compliance with DCSA and ICD 705 requirements
Administer the Personnel Security program, including processing and tracking clearances and access authorizations for employees, subcontractors, and consultants
Maintain accurate hard and soft copy records of DD Form 254s and personnel indoctrination documentation, ensuring proper execution and tracking throughout the contract lifecycle
Serve as Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), leading Turion's Insider Threat team in coordination with key internal stakeholders
Design, deliver, and track security training and briefings for all cleared and uncleared personnel in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117, including initial briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, and pre/post-foreign travel briefings
