Location & Flexibility
This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from our office in Buenos Aires (1 to 2 times/ week). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices.

In TELUS Digital, and as an Engineering Lead, you’ll manage a highly skilled engineering team building amazing digital products for our clients and help them achieve their personal and professional goals. You’ll also drive the team and our clients to use cutting-edge techniques and processes for software delivery, and use your technical prowess to shape the solutions we create. We're seeking a hands-on technical leader who can effectively guide a team while maintaining active involvement in development. The ideal candidate will drive technical decisions and architecture while contributing directly to coding efforts when needed.

Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, supporting both professional and personal growth.
Act as a hands-on technical leader, driving architecture and key technical decisions.
Contribute directly to development and coding when needed.
Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices and efficient software delivery processes.
Foster a strong feedback culture and ensure the delivery of high-quality software aligned with client expectations.
Qualifications
Have professional engineering experience — at least 5 years as a full-stack engineer building digital products, and at least 2 year leading a team;
Have strong professional experience with Node.js and cloud-native architectures in AWS, including microservices, serverless (Lambdas), and queue-based/event-driven systems (SQS, SNS or similar);
Have professional engineering experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, and VueJS.
Have professional broad experience with DevOps.
Have managed a team of software engineers building digital products, and been responsible for growing the people on the team through goal-setting, coaching and feedback;
Have familiarity with agile techniques for managing work, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing;
Have owned the delivery of a complete digital product, with code that is durable, secure, scalable and thoroughly tested;
Can simplify and communicate about complex problems around technology, business processes, user experience and development tasks;
Fluent English - including written, verbal, and presentation
Bonus Points
Professional experience as a Project or Product Manager and Scrum Master from a major technology consultancy or agency
You’ve guided a client to further their use of modern engineering practices or agile software delivery processes
Certifications such as CSM, CSPO, PMP, SA, SPC, etc.
