Chief Financial Officer
Job Description:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the company's overall financial strategy, planning, and management to support sustainable growth and profitability. In a retail environment, the CFO plays a critical role in managing cash flow, optimizing margins, overseeing inventory financing, and ensuring strong financial governance across multi-channel operations (stores, e-commerce, distribution).
Main Job Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and expansion plans
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board in decision-making, investments, and growth initiatives
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategy, store expansion, and product mix optimization
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
- Analyze sales performance, margins, and operational KPIs (e.g., same-store sales, inventory turnover, basket size)
- Deliver actionable insights to improve profitability and cost efficiency
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Optimize cash flow, liquidity, and working capital cycles
- Manage inventory financing, supplier payment terms, and receivables
- Ensure efficient capital allocation across store expansion, supply chain, and digital initiatives
4. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Ensure integrity of financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Manage external audits and regulatory reporting
5. Retail Operations Support
- Partner with operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams to control costs and improve efficiency
- Monitor store-level profitability and performance metrics
- Support omnichannel initiatives (offline & online retail integration)
6. Risk Management & Compliance
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate policies
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
7. Investor Relations & Fundraising
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions
- Lead fundraising activities, including debt and equity financing if required
- Prepare financial presentations and reports for stakeholders
8. Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team
- Drive a performance-oriented and data-driven culture within the finance function
General Requirements
- Graduate from top Universities in Indonesia or Abroad
- Minimums have 20 years of working experience
- Must have working experience in the public listed company
- Must have working experience with large and complex organization
- Must have experience in the financial operation and strategy
- Background from Big 4 public accounting firm
- CPA/CFA certification is a plus
- Experience in Corporate Finance, Raise Fund, M&A would be an advantage
- Fluent in English
