As a full-time CT Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
Summary of Essential Duties:
- Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
- Administer contrast material
- Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
- Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
- Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
- Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines
Education:
- Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program required
License/Certifications:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology certification (ARRT-R) required
- California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
- Venipuncture certification preferred
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferred
