Job Description
At Avery Dennison, we are "Making Possible." As a Finishing Operator, you are the final touchpoint in our production cycle, ensuring our products reach customers with total precision. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to high-quality results, safety, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
Precision Packaging: Sort, label, and package finished goods according to exact customer specifications and quality standards.
Quality Control: Inspect the appearance of finished products to maintain our "zero-defect" goal.
Operational Support: Prepare cores for machine operators and maintain a steady flow of packaging materials to keep the line moving.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with different shifts and departments to ensure smooth handoffs and effective site operations.
Problem Solving: Participate in group problem-solving and 5S audits to improve safety and productivity.
Qualifications
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Experience: High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Safety-First Mindset: You prioritize the wellbeing of yourself and your teammates above all else.
Detail Oriented: You take pride in "Delivering High-Quality Work" and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) exactly.
Adaptable Team Player: You are willing to step outside your assigned duties to help a coworker and can pivot quickly when priorities shift.
Technical Readiness: Comfortable learning new computer applications and able to obtain a Lift Truck Operator’s License.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Hiring rate: $22.47/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
