The Opportunity

This role oversees and drives the strategy for delivery excellence across the entire portfolio of clients within the Argentina operation, ensuring alignment with the Delivery Director's overall regional goals. This role manages a significant portfolio of client engagements, being directly accountable for high-level risk mitigation, overall operational health.

Ideal Referral/Candidate

  • 10+ years of experience in Engineering, with 2+ years managing other managers.

  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is essential.

  • Proven experience in designing and reviewing complex software architectures (e.g., Microservices, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture) in highly available and scalable environments.

  • Expert mastery of at least one modern programming stack (e.g., Node.js/TypeScript, Python/Django/Flask, Java/Spring) and experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Solid experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaaC with Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation, orchestration with Kubernetes/Docker).

  • Ability to perform and guide in-depth code reviews and establish standards for code quality, observability (monitoring, logging, tracing), and unit/integration testing.

  • Advanced knowledge of database systems (relational and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and schema design for high performance.

  • Excellent english communication skills

  • Solid proficiency in working with data, analysis, and data visualization, particularly using tools like Google Sheets.

  • Experience dealing with KPIS: eSAT, cSAT, Revenue, Headcount, Bench

  • Familiarity with AI tools and their application in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

1. People Leadership & Coaching

  • Provides executive-level leadership, mentorship, and direct coaching to a team of Managers, ensuring their continuous professional development and capability to lead their respective functional teams (Software Engineers, Product Designers, Delivery Managers, Product Managers, Test Engineers).

  • Effectively uses touchpoints (reviews, weekly 1:1s, coaching, feedback) to evolve the skill set of their team, and delivers performance-related feedback within a discipline, to peers, and upward with grace and clarity.

  • Approaches all situations (internal and external) with a solutions mindset, coaching teams to focus on what they can do.

  • Identifies and contributes to areas of the business that bring additional value, i.e. interviewing, training, contributions to the delivery playbook, etc.

2. Strategy & Operational Excellence

  • Defines and tracks high-level strategic Delivery and Business value metrics (Rocks and Scorecards) that cascade directly from the Delivery Director’s strategy.

  • Provides effective oversight of delivery work, mitigating risk, improving practices, and strengthening client trust.

  • Creates clarity with teams through the unique challenges inherent at each stage of client engagements.

  • Engages directly with the Triforce/Managers (i.e. attends Triforce meetings regularly) to understand in-flight work, and uses end products where possible to drive performance as part of the team.

3. Client & Portfolio Stewardship

  • Proactively and organically communicates across client relationships to surface industry thought leadership, best practices, and drive a “doctors not waiters” mentality.

  • Coaches Triforces/Managers to understand the client's business drivers, develop relationships, and solve problems.

  • Builds client relationships across the executive ladder and regularly conducts Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other meetings to understand feedback, communicate team progress, establish value propositions, and drive change.

4. Communication & Influence

  • Identifies and influences decisions using reporting language, data visualization, and storytelling.

  • Delivers presentations, workshops, and conversations that inspire confidence and influence decisions.

  • Navigates high impact and difficult situations with clarity and poise, making decisions that create value for our company and clients.

  • Brings energy to moments that matter, particularly new relationships, key presentations, and recovery situations.

5. Technical Leadership & Solution Architecture

  • Technical Solution Leadership: Direct the technical definition and architectural design for the most complex client solutions, ensuring long-term viability, scalability, and security.

  • Mentorship and Technical Growth: Act as the primary technical mentor for Team Leads and Senior Engineers, elevating the team's technical bar through Deep Dive Sessions, design reviews, and the promotion of best practices.

  • Crisis Response (Troubleshooting): Intervene as the top technical expert in projects facing critical technical challenges or production failures to diagnose and define the mitigation plan.

  • Technical Pre-Sales: Lead technical conversations with new clients, estimate the technical effort for complex projects, and define the architectural scope for commercial proposals
