Sr. Lifecycle Product Manager

Added 11 hours ago

Change.org is searching for a Sr. Lifecycle Product Manager. You will report to our VP of Product. As a key member of our Product team, you’ll build the personalized Lifecycle systems and experiences that activate first-time signers, deepen their connection to the platform and community at Change.org, and bring them back to take action on causes they care about.

Change.org is the world’s largest platform for democracy.

As global dissatisfaction with democracy hits an all-time high, we're using AI to build the world's most powerful civic tools—amplifying people's voices and bridging the political spectrum toward shared solutions.

Our core petitions platform—used by 100+ million people annually—is growing rapidly, and we're rebuilding it from the ground up to turn anyone into a powerful civic leader. We're also launching a new platform to surface the >80% of issues people agree on, locally and nationally, and mobilize hundreds of millions to advocate for those common-ground solutions.

To make this real, we're building a world-class team at the intersection of technology and social impact, all focused on building healthier democracies globally.

Key Outcomes:

  • Ship meaningful improvements to lifecycle infrastructure that expand the team’s ability to execute campaigns at scale.

  • Establish an experimentation program with clear testing cadence, AI-assisted workflows, and documented hypotheses tied to starter and supporter lifecycle stages and insights.

  • Expand and evangelize lifecycle data and reporting to give the LCM team and cross-functional partners visibility into engagement, activation, and retention performance.

  • Implement AI-powered capabilities into the lifecycle program with documented performance baseline and iteration plan.

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with product, engineering, data science, design, and marketing to unlock bigger, bolder product ideas.

The most important core competencies for the role are:

  • Lifecycle systems and technical infrastructure: experience owning the technical engine behind lifecycle programs, including automation logic, behavioral event triggers, segmentation architecture, data pipelines, and deliverability. Comfortable living in the tooling (Iterable is a plus) and making it more powerful over time.

  • Multi-channel lifecycle knowledge: fluent in how email, push, in-app and SMS work together across a user journey.

  • Data fluency: uses AI to independently explore, analyze, and report on lifecycle data, and knows when to bring in data science for deeper modeling. Translates findings into clear, actionable recommendations and roadmap updates.

  • Experimentation expertise: Can develop and scale experimentation frameworks (A/B and multivariate testing) from hypothesis to analysis and business impact. Builds infrastructure to make experimentation fast and repeatable.

  • AI and ML collaboration: experienced working with engineers and data scientists to implement personalization systems, and is technical enough to be a strong partner to these roles.

Target experience:

  • 4-6 years of overall product growth, and/or marketing experience, with at least 4 years of lifecycle experience. Has experience in retention strategy, churn reduction, customer lifecycle, and multi-channel messaging strategy (e.g. SMS, push, email).

  • Strong preference for a PM or product-adjacent background with a desire to operate in a product-led culture.

  • Experience managing a technical email roadmap with engineering.

  • Iterable experience (or comparable platform) as a lifecycle/email marketing platform is a plus
